So I just watched the 1986 film A Room With A View and I absolutely adored it. What a sweet film! I really want to read the book now by E.M. Forster soon. Helena Bonham-Carter was beautiful when she was young (granted, she’s still very beautiful) and Julian Sands was perfect as her love interest — such chemistry!
Ahhh…
“Poor Charlotte!” That line in “A Room With A View” always cracks me up. I love Julian Sands in that movie.
Isn’t that always a great compliment to a film’s achievement, when it compels you to seek out it’s source literature?
It truly is – I’ve added many books to my to-read list thanks to films that I’ve loved.
It was a classic. And the book was great too.
