1984 Remake

According to The Guardian, it looks like acclaimed novel Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell will be remade in Hollywood. The story focuses on a dystopian future, revolving around the terrible Big Brother and the power the government holds over the citizens of Oceania (formerly known as the United Kingdom).

The novel has been adapted twice already, the most famous being released in 1984 starring John Hurt and Suzanna Hamilton.

There have been rumours that Ron Howard will have a role in this new adaption but as to what that may be hasn’t been decided yet (probably director).

What do you think? Are you excited about this new remake or do you think they should leave well enough alone?

Huxley vs. Orwell

After today’s post on my book challenge, I remembered that I had found this website that compared Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World and George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four.

Curious? So was I.

Take a look at it and let me know your thoughts of the illustrator’s point of view.
